Development Objectives

By 2020, HSC will have made a solid start in urban framework with initial results in the construction of a National Comprehensive Science Center, becoming a new pillar supporting the development of Beijing into a national science and technology innovation center and the development of China into an innovation-oriented country. 

By 2025, HSC’s urban framework will have taken initial shape, with ever increasing exemplary effect and improved capacity in all respects; the influence of HSC as a National Comprehensive Science Center will have been significantly enhanced, underpinning the development of Beijing into a national science and technology innovation center in an important way. 

By 2035, with obvious breakthrough effect, HSC will be built into an internationally renowned science city and a national science center, underpinning the development of Beijing into a globally influential science and technology innovation center and helping China rank among the top innovation-oriented countries in an important way. 

By 2050, HSC will become a leading science city in the world and a national science center, as a key pillar supporting China’s vision to develop itself into a global science and technology powerhouse.
