Real-life View of Multimodal Cross-Scale Biomedical Imaging Facility
II. Main Contents
Project introduction: The multi-modal cross-scale biomedical imaging facility offers an unparalleled integration of imaging paradigms, including light, sound, electricity, magnetism, nuclides, and electronics. This enables the study of life science issues across ten spatial and temporal scales, from angstroms to meters and from microseconds to hours. This comprehensive approach allows for the accurate depiction of the fundamental principles of life activities and the pathogenesis of diseases.
The facility will focus on meeting the needs of basic biomedical and clinical research, with a particular emphasis on major research programmes and large-scale international collaborative science projects.
The facility will be equipped with multi-modal medical imaging facility, multi-modal in vivo cell imaging facility, multi-modal high-resolution molecular imaging facility and full-scale image data integration facility. It will form a full-featured research platform for biomedical imaging across scales, multi-modalities, automation and high-throughput, enabling it to become a world-class biomedical imaging facility in terms of comprehensive capabilities.
The facility will provide in-situ, in-vivo, and dynamic multi-modal imaging capabilities at full scale, from biomolecules to the human body, offering a comprehensive solution for research and development. The facility will support research on a range of biomedical issues, including brain science, tumours and cardiovascular disease. It will play an important role in driving innovation in China's biomedical field and promoting the development of China's high-end biomedical instrumentation industry.
