Real-life View of the Comprehensive Third Pole Environment Exploration Platform
II. Main Contents
Project introduction: The objective of the "Comprehensive Third Pole Environment Exploration Platform" is to investigate the interaction mechanisms of the Earth's spheres, including the cryosphere, hydrosphere, biosphere and lithosphere, across the pan-third pole region. Additionally, the platform aims to elucidate the environmental change process in this region, particularly in relation to the influence of the westerly wind and monsoon. The platform will develop a decision support system for green development in the pan-third pole based on big data. This will enable the integration of resource and environmental data in the pan-third pole region, systematic exploration of environmental processes and mechanisms, and innovation of scientific theories for earth system research. It will also provide support and services for the Belt and Road Initiative and the construction of a global community with a shared future for mankind.
The platform includes five sub-platforms: the pan-third pole chronology platform, the low-temperature experimental analysis platform, the exploration and research platform for the strategic resource reserve base of the pan-third pole, the research platform for mankind and ecological environment, and the intelligent monitoring and prediction platform for big data in the pan-third pole.
