Real-life View of Development Platform for High-Power and Reliable Klystron for Major Scientific Facilities
II. Main Contents
Project introduction: The objective of this platform project is to meet the demand for klystrons in major scientific facilities, including high-energy particle colliders, accelerator-driven subcritical clean nuclear energy systems, controlled thermonuclear fusion facilities, synchrotron radiation facilities, and X-ray free electron lasers. This platform will also facilitate the development of high-performance klystrons, establish a system physics parameters monitoring and diagnosis canter, a high-performance cathode R&D canter and a high-performance klystron research building. The project will establish the design conditions, testing platform and complete tube manufacturing process line for high-power and reliable klystrons used in major scientific facilities, thereby creating the largest klystron R&D base in China.
This platform mainly includes three sub-platforms: a high-performance klystron R&D centre, a system physical parameters monitoring and diagnosis centre, and a high-performance cathode R&D centre.
