Real-life View of Virtual R&D Platform for Material Transformation Process
II. Main Contents
Project introduction: This project will establish a virtual R&D platform for material transformation processes based on high-precision mechanism models, advanced preparation and characterisation, high-performance supercomputing and virtual reality technology, playing a leading role in the world. The project will drive transformative changes in the R&D model of the process industry, facilitating greener, smarter and more efficient industrialisation. It will also address the long cycle, high cost and high risk of transferring laboratory results to industrialisation in the R&D of process industry technologies.
The platform will also integrate cutting-edge technologies such as high-precision in-situ measurement and characterisation with nanoscale temporal and spatial resolution, as well as 3D printing. It will make full use of experimental disciplines such as high-energy synchrotron radiation sources and other supercomputing resources in the Huairou Science City, with the aim of serving the process research and development needs of scientific research institutions and enterprises around the world.
This project comprises six systems: a multi-scale real-time simulation system, a virtual reality interactive system, a process intelligence flexible modelling system, a high-precision directional preparation and characterisation system for materials, a heterogeneous experimental data fusion system, and a virtual research system for nano-micro processes.
