Real-life View of Interdisciplinary Research Platform for Brain Cognitive Mechanisms and Brain-Machine Integration
 II. Main Contents
Project introduction: The Interdisciplinary Research Platform for Brain Cognitive Mechanisms and Brain-Machine Integration aims to build an test platform for cross-level research on brain cognitive functions, translational research on brain diseases, and brain-machine integration research, from the molecular, neuronal, and systems levels to the cognitive behavioral level, by means of cross-integration of brain intelligence. This will be achieved by means of cross-integration of brain intelligence, spanning the molecular, neuronal, and systems levels, and extending to the cognitive behavioural level. This platform will provide a cutting-edge, comprehensive, world-class research facility to support the implementation of major national initiatives such as "Brain Science and Brain-Inspired Research" and "New-Generation Artificial Intelligence". It will become the world's first test platform based on biological brain research and exploring new intelligence through brain-machine integration.
This project forms part of the multi-modal cross-scale biomedical imaging facility. Furthermore, this project aligns with the "Interdisciplinary Research Platform for Brain Cognitive Function Mapping and Brain-inspired Intelligence" project, collectively establishing an international frontier base for interdisciplinary research at the intersection of brain science and intelligent technology, driving progress in related fields of brain science and artificial intelligence.
The platform offers state-of-the-art technical solutions for brain science research at various levels, from molecular to in vivo, addressing the key demands of both fundamental and clinical research in brain science. Furthermore, the platform has emerged as a hub for technological advancement and industrialization in brain intelligence research methodologies, driving industrial transformation and modernization in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
The project plans to build six sub-platforms, including a human brain cognitive function research platform, a brain cognitive molecular neural mechanism research platform, a brain network mapping platform, an animal support platform for brain research, a brain science and technology innovation platform, and a brain-machine fusion intelligence platform.
