Main Tasks
By 2025, the urban framework of Huairou Science City (“HSC”) will have taken initial shape; the influence of HSC as a Comprehensive National Science Center will have been significantly enhanced, with the completion of a number of major scientific infrastructures and advanced interdisciplinary research platforms, gathering a certain scale of top domestic and international scientists and teams, producing a series of cutting-edge scientific and advanced technological research outcomes, becoming an important pillar supporting the development of an international science and technology innovation center.
By 2035, HSC will be built into a world-class cluster of major scientific and technological infrastructure and a cluster of national laboratories. A number of major original scientific achievements and top-notch international scientists will emerge. A batch of innovative research results that are fundamental, forward-looking, interdisciplinary, integrated and disruptive will be generated. HSC will become a dynamic and smart city with active cutting-edge innovation elements, strong international humanistic characteristics, complete urban comprehensive services and superior ecological environment, as well as a world-renowned science city suitable for studying, researching, working and living.
By 2050, HSC will continue to make significant breakthroughs in forward-looking basic research and leading original achievements, giving birth to a group of major scientific discoveries and technological achievements with global influence, creating a group of scientists with global influence, and comprehensively building a world-class original innovation carrying area that matches national strategic needs and a scientific highland that leads the word’s scientific direction.
